In 2006, the Board of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) launched EANM Research Ltd (EARL) as an initiative to promote multicentre nuclear medicine and research.
EARL´s main objective is to improve nuclear medicine and its practice and to advance scientific initiatives as well as clinical research projects.

PET and MoRe Webinar Series

This section features the first ESNM Webinar Series created in close collaboration with Philips and focused on PET/MR and the latest developments in PET/CT.

A faculty of experts in the field provides an insight into new technologies which take time to be incorporated as standard techniques into regular training programmes, partly by explaining the techniques and their use, but the emphasis will be on discussing clinical cases and sharing experiences with the participants and demonstrating where these techniques are positioned in the clinical setting and what advantages they bring to the accuracy of diagnostic imaging in patients.
The production of this series was supervised by an Editorial Board, consisting of O. Ratib, J. Knuuti, N. Avril and C. Hoefnagel.

Tech Guide

This section features the webinar series based on Tech Guide Quality Control of Nuclear Medicine Instrumentation and Protocol Standardisation Chapters 3, 4, 6 and 7.

Chapter 3 on Planar Camera and SPECT system QC covers topics of Quality control of imaging devices used for planar, whole-body, tomographic (SPECT) and SPECT/CT.
Chapter 4 on PET system Quality Control describes the complexity of PET/CT imaging method and the key role that it plays in diagnostic and therapeutic strategies, explaining the need for strict quality control and quality assurance procedures.
Chapter 6 on Optimisation of SPECT and SPECT/CT – acquisition and reconstruction gives an overview of SPECT and SPECT/CT acquisition and reconstruction algorithms of nuclear medicine imaging.
Chapter 7 on Optimisation of PET-CT acquisition and reconstruction describes the PET/CT acquisition and reconstruction protocol, common pitfalls and artefacts.
